(FOX40.COM) – Multiple Solano County agencies re-arrested a man in his 60s on a federal arrest warrant related to possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material. • Video above: Common Legal Terms

According to the Solano County Sheriff's Office, on Sept. 11, deputies re-arrested Marvin Mutch, 68, of Vallejo.

SCSO said Mutch was paroled in 2016, serving 41 years for the 1975 murder of 13-year-old Cassie Riley. He was initially arrested by the sheriff’s office in May 2025 during a search warrant service at his residence.

The initial investigation started from a cyber tip from Sacramento Valley ICAC regarding suspicious activity involving CSAM, the sheriff's office said. In May, during the search, multiple electronic devices, narcotics, and a loaded firearm were seized.
