Most people would dread if the city moved heavy equipment right outside their front door, but not Judy Burr.
"I was so excited, my hearing aid fell out, but I can still hear you," she said as a backhoe was right in front of her home. "This is the view of happiness!"
The backhoe is bringing Burr joy because it just tore up the sidewalk in front of her Fairfax home, and soon, the Los Angeles Department of Public Works will be pouring fresh concrete for a new sidewalk.
