Transit Police report arresting a Roxbury woman tonight on charges she shoved an elderly woman out of a 28 bus stopped on Warren Street near Martin Luther King Boulevard on Sept. 8.
Luz Maria Pineda, 32, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery on a person over 60 causing injury, according to court records.
Video taken on the bus shows the victim standing with a shopping car or walker at the front of the bus with an open door refusing to move even as the suspect, with a baby in a stroller, is trying to push her down the stairs. Finally, the suspect, much larger, puts her phone in the stroller, rears back and shoves the victim, sending her flying out of the bus.
Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan said that at last report, the victim is expected to be fine, physically.
