ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe shared his thoughts for the first time since President Donald Trump said St. Louis needs saving and floated the possibility of sending the National Guard to the city.
Many people are curious following action in Washington, D.C., and Memphis is preparing for the National Guard to potentially arrive. It remains unclear if St. Louis could see deployment.
Kehoe’s office said improving public safety and cracking down on crime remain top priorities, from investing in the recruitment and retention of police officers to state oversight of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
