Amid the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! , a major ABC affiliate appears to be making an example of the time slot.

Sinclair , which boasts the largest ABC affiliate group in the country, announced that they will instead air “a special in remembrance of Charlie Kirk ” this Friday after the network’s announcement that the late-night show will be “ preempted indefinitely ,” following the FCC‘s warning about his Kirk comments .

In a news release, Sinclair announced that they will not lift the suspension on Kimmel’s show “until formal discussions are held with ABC regarding the network’s commitment to professionalism and accountability.”
