The Amazon Prime Video smash hit The Summer I Turned Pretty is officially getting a movie.
After the show finished its three-season run on Tuesday, creator Jenny Han confirmed on Wednesday that The Summer I Turned Pretty will get the cinematic treatment to finish out the story of Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah. She will co-write and direct the project, though no release date is known just yet.
Of course, the film will take place after the events of the series finale.
“There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due,” Han said in a Wednesday statement, per The Wrap. “I’m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans.”
However, The Wrap noted that it's unknown if this will be a theatrical project or a made-for-streaming film.
However, if you want to spend more time with these characters, you'll officially get your chance... one day.
Where can I watch the final season?
All episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty are available on Amazon Prime Video.
