EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- Wednesday was media day at Liberty Arena as the USI Screaming Eagles gear up for the new year.

The men tip off in exactly 50 days from today. It was a tough year for Stan Gouard's group last season that went just 5-15 in conference.

But now with 12 new players coach Gouard is taking the opportunity to try and change things this season. And it starts on the defensive side of the floor.

"I think if we can just man up and put some screens up and get through some things and not depend on an other guy to our job for us, I think that would help us out," Gouard said. "We are just trying to build some tough ones right now. I thought we were talented but it wasn't very tough."
