Austin Reaves has established himself as a core piece of the Los Angeles Lakers. He stands as a premium co-star alongside Luka Doncic and LeBron James. As his current deal is nearing its end, Reaves is on track to become an unrestricted free agent after the upcoming season.

Reaves holds a $14.9 million player option for next summer. But league insiders widely believe he will decline it. His goal is to secure a new deal on par with the contract Tyler Herro signed.

According to Anthony Irwin of ClutchPoints, Reaves is expected to seek up to $35 million per year on his next deal. Meanwhile, Irwin reported the San Antonio Spurs among the teams interested in him.
