Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman has officially announced her bid for a second term in office, unveiling what she’s calling the “Four More Tour.”

Lierman, who made history four years ago as the first woman elected to serve as Maryland’s comptroller, said she plans to spend the campaign traveling across the state. Her focus will be on speaking directly with Marylanders about her priorities, which include modernizing state government systems and creating a more affordable economy.

“I’m proud of the progress we’ve made, but there’s more work to do,” Lierman said in her announcement. “I want to ensure Maryland families and businesses have the resources they need to thrive.”

So far, Lierman is the only candidate to enter the race for comptroller. Potential challengers have until February
