SOUTHWICK – Southwick sophomore golfer Carson Michelucci had trouble breaking 50 last year as a freshman and the No. 5 on the Rams varsity golf team. This season, Michelucci is averaging close to 41 a match, shooting his way to No. 1.

Although it seems like his transformation happened overnight, it has been a somewhat grueling process. Michelucci gave up baseball to focus solely on golf. He went to golf camps and junior golf tournaments to fine tune his craft.
