President Trump was hosted by King Charles III in southeast England during the first full day of his second U.K. state visit on Wednesday.

The big picture: The president and first lady Melania Trump were escorted by royal carriage to Windsor Castle, Windsor, where the king held a ceremonial reception and later a state banquet, as protesters rallied against the visit in the historic town and thousands more demonstrated some 25 miles away in central London.
