LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The City of Las Vegas announced its latest security grant program on Wednesday, which applies to businesses in the Las Vegas Arts District, an area that has seen a rise in crime in recent years.

"Homelessness, vandalism, theft," Kristen Corral, co-founder of Tacotarian said. "Those things."

The problems plaguing the Arts District have directly affected Corral and her team.

She is one of many who have shared frustrations with 8 News Now.

"We've spent probably close to $20,000 upgrading security at our property," she explained. "From all of the damage."

Tacotarian's downtown location, near East Charleston Boulevard and South Casino Center Boulevard, has been hit multiple times.
