Octopus Energy is handing state pensioners a free £150 payment ON TOP of their Winter Fuel Allowance. To receive the Warm Home Discount, from the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) in this group you (or your partner's) name must be on your energy account.

And you (or your partner) need to receive the ‘Guarantee Credit’ element of Pension Credit. and be with an energy supplier who participates in the WHD scheme on 24 August 2025. Customers will be contacted in writing between October 2025 and December 2025 to be advised of their eligibility for the scheme.

If you have not received a letter by January 2026 but you think you should be eligible, you will need to contact the WHD helpline when it opens later this year.
