Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois received a $20,000 grant from Girl Scouts of the USA.

The funds will support Hispanic membership growth through marketing and outreach efforts, according to a community announcement.

The grant enabled GSNI to host 30 culturally engaging recruitment and retention events this summer. These events aimed to welcome and celebrate Hispanic families in the community.

Events featured hands-on activities reflecting cultural traditions and educational enrichment. Participants created Talavera Tile Art and Adelita Dolls and engaged in STEAM-focused experiences like bubble science experiments and introductory coding projects.
