Northern Territory police have charged a 32-year-old man with the alleged domestic violence murder of his partner outside of Darwin on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Detective Superintendent Mark Grieve told reporters emergency services were called to a home in the Palmerston suburb of Driver at about 10.30pm the night before.
Detective Superintendent Grieve said the 31-year-old Indigenous woman was found unresponsive in the property's front yard and rushed to Royal Darwin Hospital, where she died two hours later.
He said the woman's cause of death remained unknown, with an autopsy expected to be completed the following day.
The 32-year-old man was charged with one count of murder and one count of breaching a domestic violence order on Thursday afternoon.
He has been remanded in custody and
