Mount Holly sold the building containing the city's historical museum to a property management company that hopes to turn part of the space into a restaurant.

The city sold the museum property to RTR property management for $600,000, Mount Holly City Manager Jonathan Blanton said.

" It's certainly going to breathe a lot of life into the building. It's certainly going to put a lot of use into 131 South Main," Blanton said.

RTR Property Management owns the buildings that house JackBeagel's, The Catalyst Mercantile, The Vintage Nest and Local Logic, Blanton said. A restaurant is expected to go into the main level of the building, while the basement could become offices, Blanton said.
