The water leak at the junction next to Victoria Centre in Nottingham shot up 30ft into the air

A new update has been issued on when a major Nottingham junction will open again after a burst hydrant led to water shooting 30ft in the air.

Severn Trent says the junction of Milton Street and Shakespeare Street, outside the Victoria Centre , remains closed for "complex" repairs after the hydrant burst last Monday morning (September 8) .

The two streets, along with adjoining Mansfield Road, were closed by police as workers from Severn Trent attempted to fix the leak, causing buses to divert.

Work on fixing the hydrant and the road has continued, with Shakespeare Street remaining fenced off. Severn Trent told Nottinghamshire Live on Tuesday (September 16) , it hoped to complet
