Voting offices in Danville and Pittsylvania County will welcome residents wanting to cast an early ballot for the November races starting Friday, should they elect to do so.
In-person voting commences Friday across the state, featuring battles for the commonwealth’s governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general.
All 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates also are up for grabs.
On the local front, there are two special elections in Danville and Pittsylvania County. Danville voters will pick a new member for school board, and those in the county will decide on a new treasurer.
Pittsylvania County also has candidates running for supervisors and school boards in three districts.
