Holy Cross quarterback Jokoby Farria stepped into the huddle with little time remaining.
“When my team looks at me,” Farria said, “they know I got them. I’m going to drive them down the field and I’m going to do what I got to do.”
Farria has done just what coach Scott Wattigny hoped he would through two games, helping the Tigers to a 2-0 start with the next game set for Friday against Chalmette at Tad Gormley Stadium.
Farria led the game-winning drive that ended with his goal-line push into the end zone for a touchdown with 20 seconds remaining at E.D. White in Week 1 followed by his efficient outing in a 20-0 win against De La Salle last week.
Against De La Salle, Farria was 13 of 19 passing for 201 yards and one long touchdown pass — a 72-yard catch and run by senior Carson Chiappett
