WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - On a drizzly day near the steps of the Capitol, Democrats convened to warn of an executive branch over-exertion of power.

“He’s the most constitutional shredding president in American history,” said Robert Weissman, Co-President of Public Citizen.

Weissman reminded the crowd of the job description within the document.

“It established that the president is not above the law and in fact, has an affirmative duty to take care that the laws are faithfully executed.”

Inside the Capitol, Republicans rang a fiscal fire alarm.

“This issue of the national debt and the unsustainable path and the irreparable harm will do if we don’t intervene. This is the World War for my generation,’ said Rep. Jodey Arrington (R-TX).
