CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cameron Wagner’s path to becoming one of the nation’s top offensive line prospects was paved long before Ohio State football came calling — and it runs straight through the Big Ten.
The Class of 2027 four-star recruit from St. Joseph Ogden High School in Illinois has deep ties to the conference. His father, Jacob, played at Indiana, and his uncle suited up for Iowa. Though Wagner lives just 15 minutes from the University of Illinois, his football upbringing was shaped by other Big Ten programs.
“Even though I grew up 15 minutes away from the stadium (University of Illinois Memorial Stadium), I really watched more Indiana and Iowa growing up,” he said.
