CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The jury trial for one of two men accused in a deadly shooting on I-480 in Bedford Heights is scheduled to begin Thursday in front of Judge David Matia.

Michael Alvarado, 21, and Michael Roman, 30, are both charged with aggravated murder, murder, and felonious assault, in connection with the fatal shooting of Johndiel Rivera around 3:50 a.m. on Feb. 1.

Roman’s trial is scheduled to begin Thursday. Alvardo’s next court date is not scheduled.

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley said Rivera, 19, was driving home from work when a vehicle driven by Roman approached near the Aurora Road exit.

O’Malley said Roman and Alvarado, who was his front seat passenger, shot at Rivera’s car multiple times.
