WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (WMTV) - A death investigation is underway after the body of a man was pulled from the Wisconsin River on Thursday morning.
According the Wisconsin Dells Police Department, crews were sent to the area of 29 Broadway Avenue for reports a man who fell over railing and into the Wisconsin River around 11:47 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Kilbourn Fire Department launched a rescue boat and recovered the body of the man from the river at about 1:20 Thursday morning.
Police do not suspect foul play in the man’s death based on witness statements and surveillance footage.
The name of the man has not been released.
Responding agencies included Dells/Delton EMS, Lake Delton Police Department, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbia County Medical Examiner’s Office.
