“It’s a privilege to be able to be on the same field as that guy,” said Matt Chapman, who is 3-for-8 against Kershaw with two walks. “I watched him be a superstar from day one growing up in Southern California, watching the Dodgers play a lot as a young kid. Everything that he’s accomplished is because he works his butt off. I’ve heard nothing but great things about him. Hell of a career. It’s seriously an honor to play against him. Obviously, we want to beat him when we play him, but he’s an easy guy to root for.”
