A public memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated in Utah on Sept. 10, will be held Sunday, Sept. 21, in Arizona, Turning Point USA announced.
The nonprofit, which advocates for conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses, in a post on X, said the morning event to honor its co-founder Kirk's life would be held in Glendale, Arizona.
"Join us in celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk, an American legend," the post reads with details for the service.
Kirk, 31, was killed while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City. The suspected shooter, publicly identified by authorities as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was taken into custody Thursday night, Sept. 11, more than 24 hours after Kirk's killing, and is being held at the Utah County Jail, according to an inmate booking sheet.
He has since been charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and the commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child, Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray said at a news conference. Gray said he would seek the death penalty, calling Kirk's slaying "an American tragedy."
Where will Charlie Kirk's memorial take place? What to know about the venue
Kirk's memorial will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the home of the NFL's Arizona Cardinals.
Described as a "premier multipurpose venue," on its website, State Farm Stadium has a fixed seating capacity of 63,400 but is expandable to over 73,000 for larger events. The venue's features include a retractable roof, natural grass playing surface and more than 20,000 parking spots over 1.7 million square feet of space. Additionally, the stadium features multiple lounges, event spaces, team lockers and deck spaces offering sweeping views of the stadium.
State Farm Stadium, which opened in 2006, hosts the annual Fiesta Bowl and has previously hosted Super Bowl LVII in 2023 and the NCAA Men's Final Four in 2024. It is owned by the Arizona Sports & Tourism Authority (AZSTA), the website says.
Attendance for the service is determined on a "first come, first serve" basis, and prospective attendees must register with Turning Point USA on its website. Event guidance will be sent the evening of Sept. 20.

Doors for Kirk's memorial service are expected to open at 8 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST), according to Turning Point, and the program is planned to begin at 11 a.m. MST.
Who will attend Charlie Kirk's funeral?
President Donald Trump, who Kirk ardently supported, told reporters on Sept. 11 that he plans to attend Kirk's service.
"Whenever it is, I'll be going," Trump, who is currently on a state visit to the U.K., had told reporters. The president is scheduled to return to the U.S. on Air Force One on the night of Thursday, Sept. 18, and expects to speak at the service, USA TODAY previously reported.
Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, who accompanied Kirk's body as it was transported by Air Force Two from Salt Lake City, Utah, to the Phoenix mortuary on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, are also expected to be in attendance. Vance also hosted the conservative commentator's podcast and celebrated his life with other leading figures in the Trump administration on Monday, Sept. 15.
In addition to Trump and Vance, top administration officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, are expected to attend his memorial service.
