Helena's Golden Estates Trailer Court on Prospect Avenue is being monitored by local government offices to remedy its water shortage.
Since the property's change of ownership in February to Tennessee real estate investor Abraham Anderson, tenants have experienced sporadic water shutoffs. When the water is made available, it has been deemed unsafe by management to use. In July, the trailer court was put under a boil water notice.
City Public Works Director Ryan Leland said during a City Commission meeting Aug. 18 that the property is within city limits and connected to the city sewer system, but not to the city’s water.
