The owners of a beloved Edinburgh family business are celebrating their 30th anniversary serving capital customers.

City Restaurant Fish & Chips has been cooking up Scottish classics at 35 Nicolson Street for three decades this September.

The eatery has become an establishment for Edinburgh locals, many of whom have grown up eating at the centre city chippy .

Bosses from City Restaurant took to social media announcing the milestone and thanking their loyal customers.

They said: "September marks the 30th anniversary of the City Restaurant. We're a true family business, founded in 1995 and now on to the second generation with Marco and Joanna running the day to day.
