THE NCAA has announced a major college football rule change for spring 2026.

Ohio State coach Ryan Day has spoken out against these rule changes, but the NCAA has elected to follow through.

On Wednesday, the governing body declared that college football would be moving to a single offseason transfer portal window.

The Division I Administrative Committee voted to eliminate the spring transfer window effective immediately.

They will move away from the previous system, which allowed players to submit their names to the portal for thirty days throughout winter and spring.

However, it has not been decided whether January 2-11 will be the lone portal window for FBS and FCS players.
