BARNUM, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Minnesota Power (MP) officials are reporting a power outage for customers in the Barnum area.
According to Minnesota Power, 825 customers are affected as of Thursday morning.
The company said the outage is a result of a small, contained fire at one of their substations overnight Wednesday started by a rodent.
They brought in a mobile substation and are working on fixing the problem.
Leaders believe power will be restored by noon Thursday.
