HICKSVILLE, Ohio (WANE) An Ohio teen faces serious charges after police say he led them on a chase reaching speeds over 100 mph after he tried to buy booze at a gas station in Hicksville early Thursday morning.

According to a news release from the Hicksville, Ohio Police Department, an officer was called to the gas station just before 2:30 a.m. Upon arriving, he spotted the suspect driving away from the gas station at a high rate of speed. The officer turned on his emergency lights and siren in an attempt to stop the vehicle.

The suspect, later identified as Drew Holifield, 19, of Hicksville, instead sped up and was clocked going over 100 mph on East High Street in Hicksville. The pursuit made its way to Defiance County where officers with the Ohio State Patrol and Defiance County Sherif
