AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) - The Aiken County Sheriff's Office responded to a home for a domestic incident in late August.

When law enforcement arrived on scene, they spoke with the victim and suspect's son. He allegedly told them his father, Clyde Robinson, Sr., hit his mother in the head with a metal chair...again.

The responding deputy reportedly saw blood splattered outside and inside the home.

The son told police he went and got a gun to defend his mother and himself from his father and his father jumped into a vehicle and took off. The son said he shot two rounds in the ground behind the car.

Clyde Robinson Sr. is charged with 1st Degree Domestic Violence.
