Morristown West controlled the possession game for a large part of the 80-minute regulation against Jefferson County at Wayne Hansard Park on Tuesday.

However, the Lady Patriots (3-6, 2-0 District 2-AAA) happened to be more opportunistic in a gritty win in PK’s over the Lady Trojans (4-3, 0-2).

Jefferson County’s scoring opportunities were limited, but it struck first in the waning minutes of the first half when Chloe Huml netted a goal from outside the box on a free kick.
