Throughout the era of Donald Trump, Jimmy Kimmel has used his late-night comedy show on ABC to fight the bad orange man and speak truth to power, at least in his own imagination, but the thing about speaking truth to power is that the true thing actually has to be true.

This week, Kimmel suddenly saw his show indefinitely suspended for speaking lies to power. It was one lie in particular, one invented by the liberal media: The lie that Charlie Kirk ’s alleged assassin was actually right-wing.
