Jimmy Kimmel’s late night talk show was suspended indefinitely on Wednesday, Sept. 17, following his comments about the fatal shooting of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk .
ABC’s decision to take Kimmel off the air came after media company Nexstar announced it was indefinitely pulling “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” from all its stations. In a statement, Nexstar called Kimmel’s remarks about Kirk “offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse.”
So, what exactly did Kimmel say?
During the monologue at the beginning of his Monday, Sept. 15, show, Kimmel took aim at some conservatives’ reactions to Kirk’s death.
“We had some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than
