A Newton Heath resident has spoken of the moment a gun was fired at his next-door neighbour's house.

Shots peppered the window of a terraced house on Ballantine Street on Tuesday evening (September 16). Fortunately, no-one was injured in the incident.

A next-door neighbour, who declined to give his name, told the Manchester Evening News the shooting had been preceded by the sound of a vehicle.

"It was around ten past nine when I heard what sounded like a motorbike on the street outside," he told the Manchester Evening News. "It had been all quiet before then.
