Barrington Police will increase patrols around the Osamequin Bird Sanctuary on the Wampanoag Trail after the department received a report of two men engaged in a lewd act on a path at the park last week.
A witness called Barrington Police on Friday, Sept. 12 at about 2 p.m. and reported seeing two men performing a sexual act in the park. Police responded to the bird sanctuary and spoke with the witness. Officers also walked the paths inside the park looking for the suspects. Police were unable to locate the individuals; police believe they left the scene before officers arrived.
Barrington Police said there has been lewd behavior at the Osamequin Bird Sanctuary in the past.
