A BELOVED doctor and influencer has tragically died from a rare form of cancer.

Dr Patricia Keller died on Tuesday, after a 19-month-long battle with rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS).

The 27-year-old Brazilian doctor was diagnosed with the rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer, which develops from primitive skeletal muscle cells.

Patricia's mother said her daughter's condition had worsened on the Sunday before her death.

"They tried the CPAP mask, which is the last step before intubation," she said.

"I was sad to see her like this."

Patricia, who was from Cuiaba, west of Brasilia, had recently become engaged to her partner in July.

Patricia had shared videos of her treatment on social media and gained a large following for her honest and hopeful posts.
