ROCKLAND, Maine (WABI) - The Owl’s Head man accused of manslaughter of a toddler appeared in court Thursday morning.

Aziayh Scott, who plead not guilty, is charged with the killing of 22-month-old Quayshawn Wilson in Thomaston in May of 2024.

Thursday, a hearing was set in the defense’s attempt to rid some evidence found in the case.

They are looking to rid both Scott’s cell phone and the mother of the child’s cell phone records as evidence.

The phones were seized by law enforcement before a search warrant was received as an attempt to discourage the two from deleting any potential evidence.

Law enforcement adds that the phones weren’t officially searched until a warrant was obtained.
