FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. —

One man is on the run and another is in custody following a shooting that claimed the life of a 3-year-old child in South Carolina.

According to the Florence County Sheriff's Office, the child was shot Saturday night in Johnsonville.

He was later identified as Antonio Kamani Burgess II, of Hemingway.

Authorities say Kenneth Washington Jr., 36, (right) drove Joseph Waterman Jr., 34, (left) to the 900 block of Midway Highway and remained present during the commission of the crime.

Washington was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with murder.

Waterman remains on the run. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Waterman is described as 5 feet 6 inches and 160 pounds.
