After ABC indefinitely suspended Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show, Donald Trump quickly took to Truth Social to gloat about how he’d been “CANCELLED.” But Trump’s post was incorrect, and on September 22 Disney announced that Jimmy Kimmel Live! will return on Tuesday night , after being off-air for nearly a week.

Trump has made it clear in recent days that he’d love to see all of his critics silenced. But his issues with Kimmel go way beyond his general annoyance with the many left-leaning late night hosts who jab him on a daily basis, such as Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, and Seth Meyers. Kimmel in particular has repeatedly infuriated Trump by creating viral moments criticizing his policies and mocking his tweets in front of celebrity A-listers at the Oscars .
