ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court has fixed the hearing for petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi seeking suspension of their sentences in £190 million corruption case.
Chief Justice Justice Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Azam Khan will preside over the hearing of the £190 million case on September 25. The last hearing was held on June 26, following the conviction of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi by the Accountability Court on January 17.
Earlier, a two-member bench had directed that the case be heard at the earliest possible date. However, the pleas remained unscheduled until recently, prompting Imran’s sister Aleema Khan to approach the CJ’s chamber seeking an expedited hearing.
