MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Monroe Police are looking for an 18-year-old shooting suspect.
Police say the shooting happened around 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at a convenience store on East Sunset Drive near Sunset Lane. Investigators believe Kameron Amari Robinson, 18, and one other person were walking out of the store when Robinson shot at a third person across the parking lot.
Soon after, police got a call about someone with a gunshot wound to the chest showing up at an Atrium Health hospital. The person was later airlifted to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte and is in stable condition.
This is an ongoing investigation. Warrants have been issued for Robinson's arrest.
