Some social media users are calling for a boycott of Disney and ABC in the wake of Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night talk show being suspended indefinitely following his comments on the fatal shooting of the Turning Point founder, Charlie Kirk.

ABC is owned by Walt Disney. Other users are also calling for the boycott of Nexstar Media Group Inc. as well, which said both its owned and partner stations affiliated with the ABC television network would preempt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for “the foreseeable future.”

Some of the posts calling for a boycott describe it as an issue of free speech. Also making its rounds on social media early was the phrase or hashtag “I stand with Jimmy Kimmel” on X, some of the posts gaining thousands of likes as of Thursday morning. Some users post a photo of Kimm
