B.C.’s public-sector union is expanding job action — this time, to front-line services.

On Thursday morning, the B.C. General Employees’ Union announced its members at the Ministry of Citizens’ Services office in Victoria, and the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch office in Burnaby would be walking off the job.

The Ministry of Citizens’ Services handles the issuing of B.C. Services Cards, freedom of information requests, maintaining IT systems, and B.C. Bids, while the gaming branch regulates B.C.’s gaming industry including the B.C. Lottery Corporation.
