Federal prosecutors announced the arrests of five individuals involved in a major drug trafficking organization transporting massive quantities of cocaine and large sums of cash between Los Angeles and New York City.

The DOJ stated the ring moved about 22 tons of cocaine – approximately 800 shipments – from L.A. to NYC, with a street value estimated at $315 million.
