LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The University of Nebraska will honor one of the most iconic figures in Husker Athletics with a statue dedication ceremony for legendary volleyball coach John Cook on Thursday.
The ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. on the north side of the Bob Devaney Sports Center, near the bottom of the pedestrian ramp. Seating is reserved for invited guests, though limited standing room will be available. You can watch the event live streaming on 1011 NOW on Roku and in the video player above.
Scheduled speakers include University of Nebraska System President Dr. Jeffrey Gold, Athletic Director Troy Dannen, Nebraska Volleyball Head Coach Dani Busboom Kelly, and Cook himself.
Cook retired on Jan. 29 after 25 seasons leading Nebraska Volleyball and 32 years overall as a head coach.
