The owner of The Place 2 Be restaurants in Hartford and West Hartford has been arrested and charged with larceny and issuing a bad check, according to East Hartford police.
They said they received a complaint on July 17 that Gjinovefa Luari, the owner of The Place 2 Be restaurants in Hartford and West Hartford, bought more than $10,000 worth of equipment from Restaurant Paradise in East Hartford and paid with a check that was later returned because of a closed account with insufficient funds.

She bought $10,821.66 worth of equipment, according to East Hartford police.
Luari, 33, of West Hartford was arrested on Thursday and charged with issuing a bad check and larceny in the second degree.
