Rhode Island high school sports took a major hit this week when Nick Coit announced he was let go from ABC6, a result of his station being swallowed up by the parent company that owns WJAR 10.

High school sports coverage is easy when it’s the only thing you do. When you’re balancing the Boston pro teams and Rhode Island’s colleges, it’s nearly impossible but Nick did it better than anyone.

He’d be the first to tell you he didn’t do it alone.
