The Greenville County Sheriff's Office and Greenville County confirmed that three people have been terminated in connection with social media posts, joining a growing list of firings across the nation.

Since the killing of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, educators, government employees and media professionals across the country have lost their jobs over posts made about Kirk. Rep. Nancy Mace, R-South Carolina, took to X to call for people to send screenshots of posts made by teachers and professors and has boasted about calling educational institutions, asking for them to be fired.
