“The Summer I Turned Pretty” Threw a Finale Party in Paris

The Summer I Turned Pretty ended last night with a sexy, satisfying episode after an extremely uneven season, in which they started and then randomly dropped all the adult storylines, various prongs of the love triangle were acting very irritating, and they routinely de-hotted Conrad by giving him THE saddest bangs on the planet. Happily, all is just about forgiven after a ramble about Paris and that outstanding use of “Dress” by Taylor Swift, my goodness. And THEN they undercut it by announcing that, actually, there’s a wrap-up movie coming… well, someday. I’m not opposed to it necessarily, but to me everything wrapped up beautifully. The Sex and the City movies taught us that we don’t need to pick something great apart just to put it back together again, so… we’ll see, but I’m glad th
